Common questions
How does fusing work?
Drag one tower onto an adjacent tower. If the two make a recipe, they merge into a stronger tower and the tile you dragged from becomes empty again. Two of the same emoji always stack into an upgraded version of themselves; two different emoji make something new to discover.
Why did the enemies change direction?
Because fusing freed a tile. Enemies always take the shortest open route, so opening a gap can reroute the whole wave. The path is drawn as faint dots, and it flashes amber whenever it changes.
I can't place a tower there.
A tower may narrow the path but never seal it. If a placement would block every route from a spawn to an exit, the game refuses it and tints the tile red.
How do the leaderboards work?
Your score is how fast you clear a level, so lower is better. The big lever is the call-wave dial: summoning the next wave early skips the countdown and pays you gold for the seconds you skipped. Playing at 2× or 4× speed does not affect your time — the clock runs on game ticks, not real seconds, so everyone is compared fairly.
Leaderboards need a Game Center account. Level 1 has no leaderboard, because it's the tutorial.
Where are my custom emoji?
Creating custom emoji uses Apple's Image Playground, which requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence. On other devices the game plays normally with the standard artwork, but the customize buttons will not appear.
Can I send my custom emoji to a friend?
Not right now. Apple's terms don't permit passing Genmoji artwork along to other people, so that feature is switched off. Receiving a design file still works, in case that changes.
I lost my progress.
If you are signed in to iCloud, progress syncs across your own devices, so reinstalling on the same Apple ID should bring it back — give it a moment to arrive, and check that iCloud shows as on in the game's Settings. There is no account and no server of ours to restore from, so if you were signed out of iCloud, or you reset progress in Settings, it is gone permanently. Note that resetting applies to every device on your Apple ID.
A level feels impossible with my squad.
Every valid four-emoji loadout is meant to be winnable on every level. If one truly isn't, that's a bug worth reporting — send the level number and your four emoji.
Accessibility
Status effects are shown with icons as well as color, so they can be told apart without relying on hue. Broader accessibility support, including VoiceOver labels and scalable text, is actively being worked on — if something is blocking you from playing, please say so and it will be prioritized.
